All Cats Matter
Cats Adoption – About Us
Having taken a few family holidays to Boa Vista Cape Verde, we were aware of the many stray cats and dogs living on the streets and beaches.
The stray animals congregate around tourist areas looking for human interaction, food and water.
A large majority of the holiday makers would feed and give water to these animals. This was a daily routine for us too.
We soon made friends with all the cats who were living in the hotel surroundings and we were curious how we might take one home and possibly rehome more.
We looked into the process of how we could get a cat back to the uk and this is when we came across Nathalie and Spartaco who run Associazione Nerina.
They invited us to come and look at their shelter where we witnessed a lot of cats and dogs who are ready for rehoming. There are far more cats than dogs ready to be rehomed.

Shelter
Nathalie and Spartaco have made it their mission to neuter and spay as many of the cats and dogs as possible in Cape Verde to reduce the amount of strays. They gave up their work and life in Europe to set up Associazione Nerina.
Our aim
To help rehome some of the many cats from the shelter in Cape Verde.
We shall foster and take care of them here in the uk until they find their perfect home.
The right home is really important and we need to make sure they are going to the best possible environment and to the right family.
Once you come and meet the cats we will need to know what other animals you may already have and also your location to make sure it’s safe and that the cat is suited to your home and family.
Donations
We are a non profit organisation.
We do require a donation towards the cost of the cats travel from Cape Verde to the UK this also covers their vaccinations and flea/wormer up until they are ready to go to their new home.
